What is a Death Doula?
Death Doulas provide support, comfort and planning for the dying and their families. Much like a birth doula for the birth process, we serve the dying in the dying process. We hold sacred space while giving purpose, control, and rights to our clients so as to provide an opportunity for consciousness, closure and comfort at end of life. We become advocates for the dying and our relationship with their family goes beyond death to support the grieving process and honouring of their loved one's life.
At Bowen Death Care, we are a collective of doulas, facilitators, educators, and home support caregivers.
We offer experiential workshops, events, and courses to help you befriend your mortality, live a meaningful life, and die well.
